  • TKE Facts

When recruiting new members, TKE considers men "not for wealth, rank, or honor; but for personal worth and character."

40 of the 47 Supreme Court Justices since 1910 have been fraternity men.

TKE offers extensive leadership education opportunities, including: Regional Leadership Conferences, The Charles R. Walgreen TKE Leadership Academy, Conclave (our biennial fraternity‐wide conference), and grants for programs such as the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) and Futures Quest, as well as many more.

Greek Life aims to bring together a community of committed leaders. And TKE believes leadership is impact and influence, not title or authority. So whether you are an officer, committee member, or just a member, you can mold, enhance, and demonstrate your leadership capabilities in TKE.

All but 3 United States Presidents since 1825 have been fraternity men

TKE isn't just an undergraduate fraternity experience, but a lifelong brotherhood.

Through TKE you have the opportunity to meet others on campus and in the community through involvement in organizations, events, mixers with sororities, intramurals, educational programs, and more...

TKE has 27 Professional Staff Members and Hundreds of Volunteer Staff Members across the U.S. and Canada who work with undergraduates to improve and grow their chapters.

Tau Kappa Epsilon offers a team setting which allows an athlete to transfer his leadership skills from the athletic field into heir chapter, campus and community.

Tau Kappa Epsilon s Educational Foundation provides more than 90 scholarships, totaling nearly $100,000.

What is the official flower of Tau Kappa Epsilon?

    The red carnation

With more than 270 chapters across North America, there are many TKE chapters to visit when on the road traveling to games as a spectator.

The TKE Educational Foundation provides hundreds of thousands of dollars for educational programming and scholarships, all for our members.

The highest ranking frater in the United States Armed forces is General Joe Ralston, Frater Joe is Supreme Commander of NATO at the moment. 09-29-01

In 2007‐08, TKE conducted more than 120,000 hours equaling more than $2.4 million in donated time, which averages to nearly 600 hours per chapter or 13 hours per member. TKE also raised nearly $500,000 for philanthropic causes, which averages to almost $2,500 per chapter and more than $50 per member.
Tau Kappa Epsilon publishes a quarterly magazine titled The Teke.

Approximately 80% of all Fortune 500 executives are fraternity men

TKE focuses on balancing your in classroom learning with hands on, out of classroom experiences. Think of it this way your college classes provide the knowledge base for your future, while TKE enhances your experience level and gives you the opportunity to apply what you have learned.

Studies show that 76 percent of Congress, 71 percent of the men listed in "Who's Who in America," and 85 percent of the Fortune 500 executives belong to a fraternity.

100 of the 158 cabinet members since 1900 have been fraternity men

TKE believes the essential elements of brotherhood are love, charity, and esteem...thus placing value on personal relationships, diversity, and generosity toward all.

      News

      Hi Everyone,

My name is John Phan and I am an incoming 4thyear student at UC Davis, majoring in Political Science and Asian American Studies.  I have been a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon for 2 wonderful years. I joined the fraternity because I admired its members and hoped to follow in their footsteps and leave a lasting mark in UC Davis and the world. The fraternity have positively influenced my life and helped me develop into a well-rounded person.  I try to follow the 6 principles of TKE, which are scholarship, character, leadership, teamwork, service, and brotherhood, because they apply in school and life after school.

This August, I will be volunteering in a village in the province of Xieng Khouang, Laos as a member of SEALNet Project Laos. My team and I will help the community and Mr. Manophet, who runs a free English School out of his house. We will help teach the kids English and leadership skills with new materials and activities. We will develop plans to make the school financially sustainable. And we will develop a peer-to-peer tutoring system to alleviate overcrowding.

I am raising money to help the Laotian kids get better supplies and books. My project leaders told me that I have to raise a certain amount, but my personal goal is to raise $1, 000! Because SEALNet said they will match every dollar that I raise. That means $2,000 will go toward helping the school and its students!!!

If you would like to donate, follow the link and tell them John Phan sent ya! You can donate any amount you like. Thanks in advance.
