  • TKE Facts

Tau Kappa Epsilon offers a team setting which allows an athlete to transfer his leadership skills from the athletic field into heir chapter, campus and community.

The highest ranking frater in the United States Armed forces is General Joe Ralston, Frater Joe is Supreme Commander of NATO at the moment. 09-29-01

TKE isn't just an undergraduate fraternity experience, but a lifelong brotherhood.

100 of the 158 cabinet members since 1900 have been fraternity men

TKE offers extensive leadership education opportunities, including: Regional Leadership Conferences, The Charles R. Walgreen TKE Leadership Academy, Conclave (our biennial fraternity‐wide conference), and grants for programs such as the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) and Futures Quest, as well as many more.

TKE has 27 Professional Staff Members and Hundreds of Volunteer Staff Members across the U.S. and Canada who work with undergraduates to improve and grow their chapters.

Studies show that 76 percent of Congress, 71 percent of the men listed in "Who's Who in America," and 85 percent of the Fortune 500 executives belong to a fraternity.

With more than 270 chapters across North America, there are many TKE chapters to visit when on the road traveling to games as a spectator.

Tau Kappa Epsilon publishes a quarterly magazine titled The Teke.

Through TKE you have the opportunity to meet others on campus and in the community through involvement in organizations, events, mixers with sororities, intramurals, educational programs, and more...

40 of the 47 Supreme Court Justices since 1910 have been fraternity men.

TKE believes the essential elements of brotherhood are love, charity, and esteem...thus placing value on personal relationships, diversity, and generosity toward all.

TKE focuses on balancing your in classroom learning with hands on, out of classroom experiences. Think of it this way your college classes provide the knowledge base for your future, while TKE enhances your experience level and gives you the opportunity to apply what you have learned.

Tau Kappa Epsilon s Educational Foundation provides more than 90 scholarships, totaling nearly $100,000.

When recruiting new members, TKE considers men "not for wealth, rank, or honor; but for personal worth and character."

Greek Life aims to bring together a community of committed leaders. And TKE believes leadership is impact and influence, not title or authority. So whether you are an officer, committee member, or just a member, you can mold, enhance, and demonstrate your leadership capabilities in TKE.

In 2007‐08, TKE conducted more than 120,000 hours equaling more than $2.4 million in donated time, which averages to nearly 600 hours per chapter or 13 hours per member. TKE also raised nearly $500,000 for philanthropic causes, which averages to almost $2,500 per chapter and more than $50 per member.

The TKE Educational Foundation provides hundreds of thousands of dollars for educational programming and scholarships, all for our members.
